The kitchen is a location for tragedy and for comedy. A place for resonance. It is today’s centre of the family gathering where the conversation held is more important than the meal cooked. We spoke to Marc O. Eckert owner of bulthaup about kitchens, design and social resonance.

Martin Schönleitner is one of 17 fishermen at Lake Chiemsee. Together with wife Verena Stephan they both run Chiemseefischerei Stephan, a family business for 400 years. Their ancestors had started their venture at Lake Constance. For three generations (at the present site) the Stepahn family lives and fishes at Lake Chiemsee, Prien am Chiemsee to be precise.

The 100 percent natural organic ingredients, spread over just three types of bread and two buns, are given the time they need to be baked into an absolutely digestible sourdough bread.
